National Working & Pastoral Breeds

WOW Razzle & I had a FANTASTIC day in Malvern even though it was as if the "gods" didn't want us to make this show. A delayed ferry & rough seas kicked it off, followed by some very long delays on the M6 plus a mess up with rooms at the hotel, but every bad has a good!

Under breed specialist judge Lesley Wearing (MIOFREY) Razzle took top honours, he started of by winning Limit, then he was awarded the CC & later challenged the bitch to take Best of Breed!! A very big thank you to our fellow exhibitors for their congratulations & Lesley Wearing for a wonderful day, I am so very proud of Razzle & all that we have achieved together, this truely was a dream come true.

Windsor

On a very hot day in beautiful Windsor under Tim Hutchings (WINUWUK) Razzle took a lovely 2nd in Limit behind the eventual CC winner who was also made up in a champion on the day.

Scottish Kennel Club - May

We had a great day in Scotland, Razzle showed beautifully for me & we won the YKC Working Stakes, YKC 17-24 Handling & gained a VHC in our breed class. Winning both the YKC means we have qualified for the YKC finals at Crufts 2011

Working Breeds of Wales

Under Walker Miller (WALKON) in a very sunny Wales Asbo gained VHC in Puppy dog & Razzle also took a VHC in Limit dog.

Northern Boxer Club Champ

Today at the Northern it was Asbo's first championship show, he was just a day out of Minor Puppy so had to go in Puppy & was the baby of the class, he showed like a veteran & took a lovely 4th under Michael Quinney.

Mancunian Boxer Club Champ

We had a great day at the Mancunian, Razzle & Dan were both in a strong Limit class which Razzle won out of 16 & Dan was also shortlisted in the class. Razzle then went on to be shortlisted to the final 4 for the CC. A big thank you to our judge Mr Jeff Luscott for a great day!

Cotswold Boxer Club Champ

Razzle & I had a good day at the Cotswold, our judge was Mrs Betty McDonald (YETEB) and she awarded Razzle a VHC in limit out of 15.

South Wales Boxer Club Champ

Our judge for today was the well known all rounder Andrew Brace, as always Razzle showed beautifully and was short listed to the final 6 out of 16 entries in the limit dog class.

South Western Boxer Club Champ

Mandy & I woke up at 2am to start the 6 hour drive down to Weston Super Mare where our judge for the day was Mr Phillip Greenway (RAYFOS). Our star for the day was Dan aka "Roamaro Rum Punch" he won a lovely class and then went on to take his first CC & Best in Show, the 6 hour drive back seemed to fly by!

Well done to Mandy & Dan from Razzle & me.

IoM Canine Society Open Show

There are no breed classes for us on the Isle of Man & the shows are not judged on the group system, meaning there's usually 20+ dogs in the line up for Best in Show.

Razzle was entered in his usual class, AV.Working Open which he won. We then went in for BIS later on in the day where he was short listed to the final 8, then the final 4 & then our judge for the day Mr Paul Eardley (Sherex) award Razzle BEST IN SHOW! Many Thanks to Paul for a lovely day & thinking so highly of Razzle.

Irish Boxer Club Champ & Belfast Champ

We had a great weekend in Ireland with Mandy & Dan. At the Irish Boxer under Johan Keiser (S.Africa) Dan won his Post Grad class which qualified him for Crufts! Then it was Razzle's turn, it was his first time in Limit where he was short listed to the final 6 out of 18! Dan then went into the challenge and was short listed to the final 4 for the CC.

Belfast was the next day where Malcolm Gray was our judge, he awared Dan a 2nd place in Post Grad out of 16 and Razzle gained a 3rd in Limit out of 18, thus giving him his Stud book qualification which means he is now qualified for Crufts for life! We also made the YKC Stakes class where we gained another 3rd place. So over all we had a succesful trip.

City of Birmingham Champ

Under breed specialist Ann Ingram (TIRKANE) Razzle performed beautifully to gain a respectful 2nd place in Graduate, we were on own today so Dan wasn't shown.

Scottish Kennel Club Champ

As usual we stayed with Mandy Laidlaw before heading up to the show where Yvonne Miller (WALKON) was our judge.

Dan, handled by me, once again won his class!! And Razzle, on his first time in the post graduate class, gained a very respectful 4th and as we were finished nice & early we were able to make the YKC handling class, where Razzle & I were placed 2nd under judge Jean Lawless (REVLOCH)

The Irish Munster Circuit

We had a great time in Ireland (despite the rain) where we celebrated 2 birthdays with our friends plus lots of good results from all of the shows! Razzle was gradded Excellent at all the shows & his highlight of the week was at Clonmel where he won the open class of 14 then went on to take the Green Star & Reserve Best of Breed under Mrs E Megginson from South Africa.

British Boxer Club Champ

At the new KC Building at Stoneleigh both the boys (Razzle & Dan) showed like stars to win both their classes.....again! Thank you to Mrs Helen Banks (NORWATCH/SUNHAWK) for another great day.

Tyne Wear & Tees Boxer Club Champ

We had a great weekend at TW&T's, Razzle AND Dan both won their classes!! But to top it off Razzle then went on to be shorted listed into the final 4 for the CC under breed specialist Denise Mastaglio (ALEXVAL)

Northern Boxer Club 60th Champ

With the reduced costs as a foot passenger we were able to go over again within the same month & travel to the Northern with Mandy Laidlaw & Dan (Roamaro Rum Punch) who is Razzle's half brother, both sired by Roamaro Captain Pugwash!

Razzle once again!!! won his class & Dan, on his second outting handled by me, took a good 4th in a strong class of 9 under South African judge Ms Marlien Heystek (Jakkalsdans)

Mancunian Boxer Club Champ

A new method of travel for us was going as foot passengers, rising costs meant I couldn't afford the full vehicle ferry fare, luckily Mandy Laidlaw had offered to pick us up from the ferry & kindly let us stay & travel to the show with her.

I was a little worried that the travel over might take it out of Razzle as it was difficult for him to sleep with all the fuss & cuddles he received from other passengers on the ferry. However he wasn't fazed by any of it & showed like a star to once again WIN his class under all rounder Karina Le Mare.

Mannin Kennel Association Limit

Razzle did me very proud today by once again winning his class but this time he continuted his winning ways & went on to take BEST IN SHOW under Mr David Foulds. Thank you to David for a wonderful day.

Thank you to my "kennel maid" Mandy Laidlaw (ROAMARO) for a lovely weekend.

CRUFTS!

WOW what a trip we had on our first time exhibiting at Crufts, all our friends went back home with prizes including us, as Razzle won 1st place in his class under breed specialist Rita Williams (WILLRAIT) & this has qualified him for 2010!

At our first show of the year Razzle kicked of with some amazing results, he won Junior, Novice & Working and then went on to take 4th Best in Show, he showed his socks of in each class and did the boxer very proud!

2008 Round-up

WOW 2008 was what I thought to be a good year & an excellent start for our show career!

Razzle started off qualifying for CRUFTS 2009 on his first attempt, he then continued the year by being in the cards at most of the championship shows entered in the UK!

And in Ireland he did even better, he was in the cards at 12 of 13 shows entered, always graded Excellent under FCI rules & he also went on to win a R.Green Star under breed specialist Ronnie Tolson PLUS winning the final of the Junior stakes under KC Chairman Ronnie Irving.

Thank you to all the judges who made 2008 a great start to our show career!
